Onoclea sensibilis (Sensitive Fern)

medium to moist or wet soil (other ferns prefer drier conditions, so this is the best one to use for moist to wet sites)

called “sensitive” because the fern wilts in frost rather than staying green as Christmas fern does

natural habitat: floodplain forests, swamps, marshes and wet disturbed habitats
